On September 19th during Parent-Teacher Conferences, the Riverside band performed music from the movies. They opened the performance with "The Best of James Bond," arranged by Paul Murtha. It included the "James Bond Theme," music from "Goldfinger" featuring Renee Terrell on Alto Saxophone, "Skyfall," and "Live and Let Die." Next on the program was "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Freddie Mercury arranged by Paul Murtha which featured the trombone section and was featured in the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody." This was followed by "The Best of the West!" arranged by Michael Story, featuring "I'm On My Way" from "Paint Your Wagon", "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly," "Blazing Saddles," and "The Magnificent Seven." The concert ended with Soundtrack Highlights from "Avengers: Endgame" by Alan Silvestri arranged by Michael Brown. The band enjoyed playing this music, and they will perform these selections again at a later time during one of their regular concerts for those who missed it the first time.
