The Be Pro, Be Proud trunk visited Riverside High School on September 19th, allowing our students to use simulators of skilled jobs that are in demand in Arkansas. Be Pro, Be Proud offers job opportunities and many chances to become skilled in the workforce. There are more than eighty-two percent of unfulfilled positions in manufacturing, but these types of jobs pay sixteen dollars more than the average in Arkansas. They encourage students to learn a skill that will allow them to become professionals in that field of work, without having to go through the meaningless four years of college for a degree they have to pay tons for and don’t need or will use.
Be Pro, Be Proud is an initiative led by the associated industries of Arkansas and is leading the movement to bring a new generation of pride, progress, and professionals to Arkansas’ skilled workforce. To learn more about Be Pro, Be Proud go to beprobeproud.org.
